About us

The Cast Glass Co. is an art and design studio based in Worsley, Manchester that specialises in creating concrete and glass sculptures and bespoke light installations.

Story

Sculpture and Light take the strength and fragility of materials mixed with light to allow you a little 'reflection'.

The Cast Glass Co is owned and curated by TD Farmer a former Teacher who retired from education after a diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease in 2023 aged 46.

Creating sculpture and light from materials that shouldn't work together creates a unity and visual cohesion, highlighting surfaces and shadow.

Living with his husband and 6 year old son he works from his garage studio to create artisan sculpture and light.

Sculpture and light creations are made from mindfulness and restoration, a distraction, a safe space and a forgetfulness with recovery.

All sculpture and light are made from creativity and a positive place and are unique in their evolution into Art and functionality.

What we do

Core Focus & Artistry
•    Recycled Glass Casts: The studio transforms recycled glass into thick, durable cement casts and custom moulds.
•    Handcrafted Techniques: Their production process relies heavily on manual work, combining raw concrete work, stone washing, and glass cutting.
•     Unique vases and other lights are made of glass and concrete (cement) and are made just once.
